From Filth to Fabulous - Part 2 - The Photos

 Flooring and paint chips
Paint on large paper to test out with existing furniture
The living room - besides the garbage, we picked up around $6 of change on the floor
My mom didn't want to pay for painting the ceiling, but it really needed it - so I footed that cost.
The fumes from the black mold on this dishwasher were not tolerable
The carpet was ruined and of course had to be pulled out.  And I insisted it be pulled out before we painted.  My friend and I didn't want to work in such filthy conditions.  It took a stern conversation or two, but we got our way.

 Utility room mess
Leak in the ceiling
 Holes in the wall
 Some mildew issues
My son's future bedroom - we were also going to need some new blinds.
We found all kinds of disgusting filth - even animal feces from where the kitty cat had not been properly cared for.

The refrigerator was almost as bad as the dishwasher with mold
Sweet little kitten that we fed and found a home for.
 Cleaning
Some kind of ants in the bathtub that had to be treated.
 Restaining the cabinets
When we moved the old fridge out - ugh
 Filth everytwhere
New flooring and new paint - the walls were so dirty and in such bad shape that we had to kilz them before painting them - so that was an extra step, and some extra cost for me.  But worth it in the end.
Beginning to move the kitchen while still painting
My choice of flooring - and I'm really please with it!
Moving day - leaving the old duplex.  It was up to the movers, my daughter and me to meet our deadline of being out and cleaning the old place.  My son was at a Special Olympics event that day.
Problems with unhooking and setting up the new fridge - water connection issues.
Our new home - the Family Room
 Moving in and unpacking
Our dog, Sir Winston, shows how exhausting this process has been!  I also hired someone to move our doggie door that I had purchased and have it installed in the new place.
 Beginning to settle in
